Hostel

Hostel… — That blessed word, which opens the adolescent heart to the most perfect glimpse of the outside world, and helps to carry it, as on a bird’s wings. Sagar Group of Institutions is well known for its extensive residential facilities. Students have the luxury of enjoying the serene and green campus round the clock, in one of the finer suburbs of Bhopal, yet not far from the attractions of the city during weekends. Staying within the campus is particularly attractive because resident students have access to several college facilities. At SISTec, we provide the best Hostel facilities for both boys and girls who come from far-off places. There are 6 hostel buildings in total; three at Gandhi Nagar campus and three at Ratibad campus with dedicated security detail round the clock. The hostel rooms are well equipped with beds, mattresses, study tables, wardrobes, 24 hours water supply, wi-fi, and other allied amenities. There is a great emphasis on cleanliness in the hostels. The availability of daily newspapers in all the hostels keeps the students attuned to the day-to-day happenings.

Mess

Food and dining have always been a great attraction for the students studying in SISTec since its inception. Students enjoy a variety of cuisines served to them. The four meals served to the hostel students are well crafted keeping in view the calorific and nutritive values. Quality, taste, flavors, and textures are well balanced in the mess by a highly qualified team of culinary professionals. The SISTec messes are well equipped with modern cooking tools and techniques and can feed around 500 students at one time. The Mess is run by the college management under the guidance of the Principal and Administrative officer. Vegetarian food is served in the hostel. Mess charges are collected on an annual basis at the time of admission. Parents, guests, day-scholars too can avail of the mess facilities at a very minimal charge. Every day there is a nutritious menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Transport

A full-fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places of Bhopal. College buses ply in almost all the important routes across the city covering each nook and corner. The transportation system is worked out in a way that even the student residing in remote localities can avail of this facility. Sagar Group has a fleet of over 100 buses providing transport facilities to students from various places in the city ensuring hassle-free and safe transportation.

The library collection also includes materials for competitive exams, fiction, novels, stories, general books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, magazines, CD-DVDs, projects (minor and major), etc. To foster academic growth, the tech-savvy scholars are provided with online access to E-library offering online e-Journals, e-Books, e-Database, and useful links to facilitate research & teaching on a subscription basis. Swimming Pool

Sagar Group of Institutions is the only private engineering college in Bhopal that has a six-lane state-of-art swimming pool for the students to provide them a platform to learn a new skill and work towards attaining high standards of fitness. The swimming pool is equipped with all modern amenities. Swimming instructors are available round the clock to train students. The college has hosted several state-level swimming events so far. For this purpose, there is an open-air amphitheater that allows the audience to enjoy vibrant performances amidst the natural light. Sports Ground

To fulfill the needs of the sports enthusiasts the college has separate cricket and football grounds, along with volleyball courts. At Sagar Group of Institutions, we believe in the overall personality development of students to build up their inner self by shaping their outer foundation through the provision of an exceptional athletic experience. The sports facilities help in relaxation and recreation of mind and body and boost self-esteem, the main motive behind adopting sports as a primary concern is to promote healthy competitive spirit and teamwork among the students. Since the inception, SISTec allows its students to practice, participate and compete in various Inter-Institution, Inter-Districts, and Inter-Division tournaments. Every year 5 to 10 students are selected to represent the Rajiv Gandhi Technical University for All India Inter-University tournaments. The college also hosts in-house competitions and tournaments for both students and staff. Sagar Sports Reunion is the annual cricket tournament for all the members of the Sagar Group. At the hostel level too the students organize inter and intra college tournaments.

Basketball Courts

Sagar Institute Bhopal also has basketball courts for the students to dive into competitive matches. Both Gandhi Nagar and Ratibad Campuses have basketball courts used by the students during the evenings. A well equipped sports department with a dedicated sports officer is there to help the budding players in every way they can.

AV Rooms

Medical Centre

A fully equipped and free of cost medical center with all the necessary facilities and adequate medicine supply is available round the clock. To provide excellent medical care to all the students, staff, and faculty the center is supervised by a qualified doctor. Vaccination and primary health care facilities (first-aid) are available in the health center.

Auditorium

The colleges have a well-equipped private auditorium within the campus with a seating capacity of over 200 people.
